At last November’s AGM, SJRU had the honour of inducting 2 x new Life Members for exemplary service to Sydney Juniors and Junior Rugby in the Metropolitan area.
Tony Cooper (LM#5) is a previous Chairman of SJRU and among his many exploits was a key figure in creating the girls pathways we enjoy today. Tony was joined by his wife and daughter to receive the award.
Barry Killham (LM#6) was responsible for SJRU re-forming in 1998 and served as President for 8 years. He is effectively the founding father of the SJRU we know today. Barry unfortunately passed in 2014 and we represented by his daughter Genevieve & son Sean to accept on his behalf.
It was also pleasing to have all the SJRU Life Members on hand to witness these new additions to a pretty special group.
